With your wallet

Launch your coin

Four steps: details, image, links, then review the exact mainnet cost and approve one transaction in your wallet. Nothing is created until you approve, and your answers stay in this browser if you leave.

DetailsStep 1 of 4

Shown on Pump and in wallets. The name and ticker can never be changed, so check the spelling now.

0/32

The coin’s full name, for example Signal. Up to 32 characters.

0/10

The short symbol traders search for, for example SGNL. Letters and numbers, up to 10.

0/500

One or two sentences for the coin’s Pump page, for example what it is for and who runs it. Also permanent.

ImageStep 2 of 4

The practice launch loads with the page. It needs JavaScript; nothing is signed or sent.

What a Pump launch creates, costs and promises

Written from the page’s own code (pump-launch-sdk.js, pump-mint.js), the image service, and Pump’s mainnet program and settings as captured for the release tests. Coins have 6 decimals: 1 coin is 1,000,000 base units.

What create_v2 does, and the accounts it creates

Your browser builds one transaction with three instructions: a compute limit, Pump’s create_v2, and the 0.02 SOL VEYDUCT fee transfer. A fresh address for the coin is generated in your browser and signs alongside your wallet, so the transaction has two signatures. No VEYDUCT program is involved: your wallet is written into the curve as the creator.

Curve math, with a worked example

Pump prices coins with a constant-product curve over Starting balances that exist only in the formula (30 SOL and 1,073,000,000 coins). They set the opening price; only real SOL is paid in or out.. A new curve starts at 1,073,000,000 virtual coins and 30 virtual SOL; only 793,100,000 real coins are for sale. These are Pump’s mainnet settings as captured for the release tests.

  1. Priceprice = virtual SOL ÷ virtual coinsAt launch: 30 ÷ 1,073,000,000 = 0.0000000280 SOL per coin, so the market cap (price × 1,000,000,000) is 27.96 SOL.
  2. Cost of a buySOL in = ⌊coins × virtual SOL ÷ (virtual coins − coins)⌋ + 1 lamportThe coins leave both the virtual and real coin reserves; the SOL joins both SOL reserves.
  3. Fees on topfee = ⌈SOL in × bps ÷ 10,000⌉ · protocol 95 bps · creator 30 bps1.25% in total on the curve. The creator part waits on the curve until it is swept to the creator vault.
  4. Graduationcomplete when real coins = 0By then about 85 SOL of real SOL is in the curve and the market cap is about 410.88 SOL.

Example

  1. You launch “Example Coin” ($EXMP).0.02 SOL VEYDUCT fee + 0.00606552 SOL rent + 0.00001 SOL network fee = 0.02607552 SOL. You hold no EXMP.
  2. Your first buy spends 1 SOL including fees.0.98765432 SOL into the curve + 0.009382717 protocol + 0.002962963 creator = 1 SOLYou get 34,199,203.154141 EXMP (3.42% of supply); the market cap rises from 27.96 to 29.83 SOL. A first buy also opens your token account (0.00151384 SOL) and Pump’s volume account (0.0013462 SOL).
  3. Trader A spends 5 SOL.They get 142,790,487.519474 EXMP; the market cap reaches 40.10 SOL; your creator fee from their trade is 0.014814815 SOL.
  4. You collect.0.017777778 SOL is waiting; the first collect keeps 0.00065024 SOL in your creator vault as its rent reserve, so you receive 0.017127538 SOL.

Run the same steps in Try it without a wallet: it uses this arithmetic, and the release tests check it against real buys on Pump’s mainnet program to the lamport.

Image and token details

  • Publish first, then launch. Your wallet signs a plain message that names the image and details by their SHA-256 hashes. It costs nothing and creates no token.
  • What is published. The image (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2048 × 2048, not animated) is re-encoded to a WebP of at most 512 × 512. A A public JSON file with the coin’s name, ticker, description, image link and social links. The coin stores its link for good. JSON file holds the name, ticker, description, image link and any website, X and Telegram links.
  • Where. Public, write-once storage with a content-addressed path (token-metadata/<hash>.json), so the file behind the link cannot be swapped. That link is what create_v2 writes into the coin.
  • Limits. Up to 5 publishes per wallet per day. Publishing again with the same image and details reuses the same files.
  • Bring your own. Under “Website and social links” you can paste an existing public HTTPS metadata link instead; download the template to see the fields.

What can go wrong

Not enough SOL

Pump’s preflight refuses the launch and nothing is sent. Add SOL (0.03 covers the fee, rent and network fee) and review again.

You decline in the wallet

Nothing is sent. The page says so and you can approve again when ready.

The review gets old

A review is valid for one minute. If costs, the wallet or the details change, the page asks you to review again.

The outcome is unclear

A receipt is saved before sending. If the network does not confirm in time, a new launch stays blocked until you check the saved signature, so you cannot launch twice by accident.

Image publishing is down

Your image stays on this device. Try again later, or paste an existing metadata link.

A typo in the name

Name, ticker and link cannot be changed after launch. Check the token card on the right before approving.

FAQ

Does the launch buy any tokens for me?

No. The whole supply goes into the curve. If you want a first buy, make it on Pump after the launch confirms; it is an ordinary trade with Pump’s fees.

Link to this answer
How do I earn from my coin?

Pump records your wallet as the creator and credits it 0.30% of every curve trade. Claim it on Collect fees, or split it between fixed wallets with Share fees. After graduation PumpSwap pays the creator 0.05% to 0.95% of each trade, set by market cap.

Link to this answer
What does VEYDUCT charge?

A flat 0.02 SOL per launch, in the same transaction. Nothing on trades, and VEYDUCT has no authority over your coin.

Link to this answer
Can I change the name, image or ticker later?

No. The coin’s metadata has no update authority and the published file is write-once.

Link to this answer
When does my coin move to PumpSwap?

When all 793,100,000 curve coins are sold, about 85 SOL of buys net of sells. Pump completes the curve and moves the coin to a PumpSwap pool; from then on it trades on Trade.

Link to this answer
Why is it a Token-2022 coin?

Pump’s create_v2 makes Token-2022 coins with the metadata stored in the mint itself. Phantom and Solflare show them like any other token, and VEYDUCT’s Pump tools accept them.

Link to this answer
Can I launch the same coin twice?

Each launch makes a new coin at a new address. The page blocks a second launch while an earlier one is still unconfirmed.

Tested in this release

Test results are published with each release

Every release build runs Pump’s exact mainnet program, captured read-only with its live settings, in an isolated Solana runtime (LiteSVM), and sends it the same launch transaction this page builds. This copy of the site has no build results attached; Release status lists the latest release.

  • The exact create_v2 launch with the 0.02 SOL VEYDUCT fee credited to the fee wallet, Token-2022 metadata written on chain, your wallet as creator and the whole supply in the curve.
  • A launch without the VEYDUCT fee is refused by the site’s relay.
  • Real buys on the new curve: the practice run’s quote matches the lamports Pump charges, its 0.95% and 0.30% fees and the first-buy account rent.
